To Create a Distribution Order from a Template

You can create a distribution order using the Create New card, in ALIM Web.

Note: To create a distribution order, you must have the New Object Instances permission enabled on the Distribution Order object, in AssetWise Director. For more information, see the AssetWise Implementation Guide.

Follow these steps to create a distribution order, in using the Create New card.

  1. From the Create new card in the Content pane, select Distribution Orders. For example,

  2. Select a template from the list, and then click Create and Edit.
    Note: You can filter the list of templates by entering the Name, Description and/or Classification.
    The Distribution page appears, open to the Properties topic. For example,
  3. You can edit or accept the Number, Date Received, Organization, and Return Address.
  4. Edit or accept the default Remarks.
    Note: This field is required.
  5. You can edit or accept the Class.
  6. You can Add a Distribution Item to the distribution order, providing that the Distribution Order is not yet approved.

    When you are finished, click Select.

    The selection is added to the distribution order.

  7. When you are finished, click Save.
